BOOKINGS ON THE UP FOR 2008 !Well at the start of the year we found ourselves in the unusual position of only having one date booked for 2008. However as January rolled on the phone didn't seem to stop ringing and once again we found ourselves having to say to people that we couldn't play for them on the date they wanted as we were already booked. So we are out and about all over the place this year again. However though that is good for us as we get to play, but for anyone wanting to dance to us quite a few are private bookings. So here are some opportunities to dance to the band at public events in 2008. RAY HEADS FOR RECORDING STUDIO!After more than 30 years of playing and singing Ray is finally taking the plunge and heading for the recording studio to record a number of his own tunes and songs. CURIOUS?Well the time seemed right and as much of the material has never been recorded it seemed a shame for it not to be shared with a wider audience. So over the next 6 weeks Ray will be traveling to Nottingham to record at Sounding Post Studios under the guidance of Ich Mowatt and with help and support on the production side by Steve Heap of Mrs casey Music. Ray will be joined by a number of other musicans on this recording to produce a full blown sound-watch this space for more information. If you want to be amongst the first to receive a copy of the CD (at a special pre-release price) send Ray and email at ray.langton@talk21.com to reserve your copy. Expected release date June 2008.
Ray and Barbara about to start one of their epic long distance walks
Barbara is training for a triathlon in Vancouver in July where she will be a member of the british team. Ray is training hard for future long distance walks and the third member of the 'footloose' long distance walking team, Tom (not a musician unfortunately!), is currently in Bhutan on a challenge.
